- Springfield Armory (we have a special model for the TRP™, though)
- Rock Island Armory
- AutoOrdnance
- Kimber
- ParaOrdnance (we have a special model for the double-stacks, though)
- Colt
- Smith&Wesson
- Ruger
- SigArms
- Dan Wesson
- Taurus
- Wilson Combat
- Les Baer
- Ed Brown
- NightHawk
- SVI
- STI
- Cylinder and Slide
- King's
- Novak
- Etc!
|
In all cases, please be aware that the hole in the ISPT™ is purposely designed to fit very snugly over the magazine release button. When an ISPT™ is used for the first time, you may need to use a fingernail or some other non-marring object to work the ISPT™ around the magazine release button. The snug fit is what holds the ISPT™ in place, freeing both of your hands for manipulating the pistol. |

How long will an ISPT™ last?
Our experiments* indicate that each ISPT™ manufactured from Rowlux® polycarbonate film (1911-SharpShooter) should last for about 40 disassembly/reassembly operations. Watch them closely and when they begin to wear through, simply replace.
Our experiments* indicate that each ISPT™ manufactured from actual playing cards (1911-Stud) should last for about 40 disassembly/reassembly operations. Watch them closely and when they begin to wear through, simply replace.
Our experiments* indicate that each ISPT™ manufactured from .007" Mylar® polyester (e.g. 1911-PROFESSIONAL, Kimber® Solo™ Carry 9mm, Sig Sauer® P238/P938, Hi-Power 9mm, Colt® Mustang®/Colt® Gov't 380, etc.) should last for about 75 disassembly/reassembly operations. Watch them closely and when they begin to wear through, simply replace.
Our experiments* indicate that each each ISPT™ manufactured from .010" Mylar® polyester (1911-ELITE) should last for about 100 disassembly/reassembly operations. Watch them closely and when they begin to wear through, simply replace.
*During our experimentation, we press inward fairly hard on the slide stop while making the arc-shaped motion that usually creates an "idiot scratch". If the lug of your slide stop has a sharp burr on it, this can significantly accelerate wear on the ISPT™.

What is Mylar® polyester?
Mylar® polyester is a flexible, exceptionally strong and durable material with properties that make it most suitable for many industrial applications. Mylar® polyester is inert to water and acts as a moisture barrier, as well as being unaffected by oils, greases, and most aromatics.
Even under attack by these conditions, Mylar® polyester will retain its superior properties and remain tough and flexible from -100°F to over 300°F, and since Mylar® polyester contains no plasticizers, it will not become brittle or yellow with age under these or other normal conditions.

What is Rowlux® polycarbonate film?
Rowlux® is a multi-lensed effect thermoplastic film manufactured in polycarbonate, flexible PVC, and PETG. Rowlux® gets its effects of motion and dimension from thousands of minute parabolic lenses that are molded into the surface on both sides of the film. These lenses create a pattern of absorption and reflection of light which result in optical characteristics that are remarkable and unique. Shimmering silk, stardust sparkles, geometric repetition, and three-dimensional are some of the ways to describe this material. |

Is the ISPT™ guaranteed?
There is no specific, stated guarantee regarding the function of the ISPT™. We have constructed it to exacting tolerances, and used only the highest quality materials in its manufacture. However, please use your own best judgment as to when the product is wearing out; i.e., when the slide stop lug is beginning to wear through the device. When in doubt, replace the ISPT™ with a new one. Your pistol's frame is worth it! |
